Waiting is over

Laptop arrived early tuesday, followed by a collection of disks on wednesday, so now I’m set up with parallels doing .net development. Diving into the new job, haven’t had a chance to collect my thoughts. Figuring out the little pieces that are automatic for the other dewvelopers is the hardewst part as they don’t seem to be documented. The big pieces that aren’t performed every day are well documented, but then how often to I need to set up a new domain user account?

Still Waiting

So the Laptop was shipped over the weekend from China, arriving in the US in Alaska, before heading east to Indianapolis, where it then went to its almost final destination Emeryville, Ca. It took a few days extra before it shipped as it was considered a special order with the larger size drive. This morning it switched shipping companies and I’m supposed to have it in my dirty little hands by 10:30 tomorrow morning. Does UPS know that it goes faster the more times you hit the refresh on the tracking screen?

Keigan completed his project today, and now we wait for the call from the printers to go pick it up.

1,209,600 seconds

I gave my 1,209,600 second notice today. As my duties started to slide more into the support role, and less of the development position, I figured it was a good time to make my exit. March 5th I begin my new position, once again as a developer. stay tuned for further updates.

Keyboard woes

Last week I had a bit of help spilling Rice Milk all over the keyboard. Shaking containers without their lids on correctly causes problems. I immediately took apart the keyboard and tried to make sure it was completely dry and clean before using again. I missed two keys the up arrow and the right hand shift key. Both are causing quite a bit of problems with my typing. New Keyboard has been ordered.
