Aloo gobi
I transcribed the recipe from Bend it Like Beckham, for about the fourth time. Hopefully this copy will last longer than the others. It also helps that I can now view it on the laptop, as opposed to the mini dvd player, as that screen is quite small, and isnt designed to be read from.
About to start the naan, the oven just beeped to let me know its ready.
MiniDV
Yesterday I picked up a new Canon MV800i camera from its flight overseas. Having a school meeting for the coming year didn't get a chance to play with it, other than to start wasting tape. When I get the chance I will start to upload some movies, but first I need to figure out the editing procedures, so no one is forced to watch plain old home movies over the web.
Today I was greeted at work by the second part of the camera, some more blank tapes as well as some little odds and ends to hold everything with.

We are enjoying our free movies from Blockbuster, looking to time it exactly right on the cancellation. we need to wait till all our last movies were returned and the next bunch are sent before cancelling, but we cant wait to long or else we end up paying. And that would be the end of the world to fork over $20 for watching movies for the month.
Continuing the iPod Quest
Free movies from blockbuster
so far we are in the first half week of our trial offer with blockbusters equivalent to netflix. Our first three movies have arrived, as well as two coupons for movies at the local store. Just in time for that long weekend.
I was credited with the blockbuster offer within about half an hour of signing up, so it seems to be a good offer to choose when trying this. The netscape isp service I have been told, takes about 1.5 days before it appears, and cancelling must be done over the phone as the url they give redirects to a non resolving host. If I had anything to say I would complain that an isp that cant have its admin center correctly configured is not worth staying with.
Movies From the Library
Eugene’s public library has few movies on DVD, or I suspect few movies per the number of patrons that check them out. As I rarely see even those movies I have checked out previously on the shelves.
Last nights picks were 3 episodes of Roger Moore as The Saint, a British TV series he did between 1962 and 1969, incidentally keeping him from the role of James Bond in Dr. No ( Watched that last week).
The Other movie I started to watch was I believe called the Human Movement. This was a Japanese wwii movie, about one mans belief that trating the workers in the Manchriian prisons better woud be beneficial to all. I think( it required more thought than my body was capable of and I drifted in and out of sleep). I will look back into it later.
Last week along with Dr. No I also watched HOP, this one was in French and(I know I will hear about it, but I am not sure what they speak in Belgium.) I thoroughly enjoyed this movie, watching it twice during the week.
Times about up on the Computer so I will leave you with the titles for this weeks selection. Genghis Blues and Ballad of a Soldier. This last one has New and improved English subtitle Translation listed as a special Feature.
