The Game is Rigged

Today’s game will enter family history. Caden is well on his way to winning his first game of Risk. It started out as a 3 player game, with Caden and his friend involved in a non-aggression pact, until I was eliminated.

Albert, Phillip, and Chris

It seems that the fairy tales my daughter listens to aren’t the same ones I remember from my childhood. In all of them their was always a king and a queen, but Kiaya told me last night that I was a Prince, while Sarieah is a Queen, and Kiaya herself is a Princess.

Day one: Spring Reign

Keigan had a wonderful day today, his team won all three of their games. I saw him make several good passes, and catches, catching at least two in the end zone.

In a fluke of the weather we drove to Northern Washington and all of us have the marks of too much sun on out faces. While the reports from back home in Eugene all indicate that we missed one of those weekends that the Pacific Northwest is famous for.

Pictures to follow this weekend, I didn’t bring the computer, so the only pictures I can upload are those taken with the cell phone, and it doesnt quite cut it on catching action shots from across the field.

waiting again

Waiting for Keigan at the Eugene City Airport. He spent the weekend in Colorado with his Uncle Tim. His flight to Denver on Friday arrived early, so I figured I’d get to the airport early in case it was again. No Luck, scheduled 20 minutes late, and the airport is closed down so I cant even get to the gate to meet him. Stuck looking at the closed desert counter, wishing for a coffee. I had hoped to take him to sweet life when he arrives to grab a quick snack, but with the delay, I don’t think it will happen tonight.

Plane was 20 minutes late as he didn’t have a stripe on his ticket. Looking into it, it appears that they wanted him to fly as a minor, as opposed to an adult even though he is at the age when its ok to fly on his own.

He was feeling bad from the flight, no sweet life, but a quick trip to the grocery for some ginger ale. Possibly due to the rapid changes in altitude, the coast to Denver and back in 72 hours.
