Baseball
Summer time exploded with a vengance here last night as we had a double header—almost. More of a cross town classic.
Caden started out playing on the south side, with a single on his one at bat. 1 hour timed games, ten batters per team per inning, 17 players on the team. we managed to make it through two innings last night. Caden made some good plays while playing first base the one inning he got to play.
Keigan played up on the north side of town and ended up with a double. His double would have been easily a triple and possibly an inside the park homerun. He was too excited and didn't look at his coach for the sign to keep running, he just pulled to a stop at second, though he did drive the man on the bases ahead of him home for one RBI.
After the game the opposing pitchers Dad congratulated Keigan, he was the only one to get a hit against him, and it went over everyones heads. Keigan started the game playing first, then moved over to shortstop for 3 or 4 innings before playing there last inning at third. They managed to tie the game up at 3 before it was called on acount of darkness. It was only supposed to go 1.5 hours but the coaches agreed to let it go till darkness. Good thing because we would have lost 3-2 if it had ended on time.
