Sorry

For the last week we have not had access to any news source, so I know this isn’t a reaction to the recall. Zakiaya and I went to the grocery store yesterday, and as we walked around she apologized to all of the animal products that she saw. “Im sorry you had to die for someone to eat you!”

Dems United

Chris Bowers brings up a good point in his Can The Pennsylvania Interval Be Avoided? article. My immediate thought is somewhat similar to Descrates comment though instead of having them work with assigned roles of President / Vice President, they could both start campaigning as if they were in fact the nominee, and campaign as a Democrat against the the divided republicans.

Looks like the Huckabee is the GOP Frontrunner

With John McCain switching parties to run as a Democrat, it looks like Huck gets the nod.

Less Jobs, More Wars

John McCain added another plank to his platform yesterday with his ducking of the vote on the economic stimulus package. Screw the vets

Voting “no” with Republican leaders would have offended millions of Social Security recipients and the disabled veterans not scheduled to receive rebates. Voting “yes,” on the other hand, risked alienating Bush, GOP leaders and conservatives already suspicious of McCain’s political leanings. McCain was speaking Thursday before a meeting of the Conservative Political Action Conference, a group that booed him last year in absentia. For McCain, not voting meant not going on the record either way. He has missed all eight Senate roll call votes this year.
