“Aunt Mariposa”

March 21st, 2009

For those fans of the older dog “Aunt Mariposa”.  Most of the time she is more like an older sibling, watching the two younger ones tumble about, looking down on them as if she is to mature, but secretly wishing she could join in the fun.  Then when she finally decides to join in, they take off running, cautiously coming back out when they think the coast is clear again.I got these pictures after stepping out of the room, to retrieve the boy, who had decided that the gate looked more like a challenge course wall than a barrier.  Just this morning he has learned to go over it, much faster than I can get out of my chair and pluck him down.

So far my only issue is with the top sites, as the default view when you create a new tab, it is dangerous to my productivity to see which sites have been updated since I last created a new tab.

Introducing Mini-Me

Sitting to the right in the sidebar is the nike plus widget, figuring if I know everyone can see me practicing paddleball, I might actually get out of the house and run some more.

If that doesn’t work, track season starts soon, and then I am at Hayward field each day for at least an hour while Caden and Kiaya run.  That really helped the motivation in the fall.

Welcome Back

January 24th, 2009

Not sure if anyone noticed the extended downtime. But I had a wardrobe malfunction on the site the other week, and haven’t had a chance to fix it yet.

I took this opportunity to once again switch blogging tools( 3 years on Moveable type, 3 years on Typo) and give wordpress a try.

Recently I have been working with several people setting up and maintaining some wordpress sites( I ‘ll post links when they go live!) and thought the familiarity gained on my own site would help.

I will also be adding in the back content as I get a chance, its all in a database somewhere safe.
